COLLECTION AND REFUND OF OCI
Collection Procedure for OCI Cards and Documents
OCI Cards will be delivered by Post / Courier only once approved and ready. Applicants are required to provide self-addressed envelopes (2) per application to return the original documents and processed OCI Card, or seek information from the advisor at the application centre for secured delivery courier services available at the application centre. Applicant can check the status of their application Online Only.
Collection Procedure for approved OCI Cards
Applicants are required to check the status online and when status shows OCI received in London / Birmingham / Edinburgh on a particular date, the following documents must be submitted to the India Visa and Consular Services Application Centre, where original application was submitted for OCI.
- Acknowledgement receipt of the application.
- Printout of on-line status report.
- British / Foreign Passport in original.
- PIO Card holders should submit the Original PIO Card for Cancellation.
- To obtain a New OCI Card in lieu of Old OCI Card (Miscellaneous Service) : Please submit old passport and OCI Card (Booklet) for cancellation and New British / Foreign Passport in order to obtain a New OCI Card. Self-addressed Special Delivery envelope to return the Passport with OCI Card OR you can use the courier service offered at the centre.
Applicants who have submitted their applications directly at the High Commission of India, London or at its respective consulates in Birmingham or Edinburgh, prior to 2 March 2015, or sent by post.
Refund Process For Non Eligible Applicant Of OCI
Applicants who are not found eligible for OCI will be refunded the admissible amount after deducting necessary administration costs.
